Polynomial Time Algorithm Solving the Refutation Tree Problem for Formal Graph Systems

چکیده
The refutation tree problem is to compute a refutation tree which is associated with the structure of a graph generated by a formal graph system (FGS).We present subclasses of FGSs, called simple FGSs, size-bounded simple FGSs and bounded simple FGSs. In order to show that the refutation tree problem for simple FGSs can be solved in polynomial time, we prove that the refutation tree problem for size-bounded simple FGSs is NC 2 -reducible to the graph ismorphism problem. For bounded simple FGSs, we show that the refutation tree problem is in NC 2 . We present an FGS GI and show that the graph isomorphism problem is log-space reducible to the graph isomorphism problem for

Parallel Algorithms for Refutation Tree Problem on Formal Graph Systems
We define a new framework for rewriting graphs, called a formal graph system (FGS), which is a logic program having hypergraphs instead of terms in first-order logic. We first prove that a class of graphs is generated by a hyperedge replacement grammar if and only if it is defined by an FGS of a special form called a regular FGS. In the same way as logic programs, we can define a refutation tre...
متن کاملA POLYNOMIAL TIME BRANCH AND BOUND ALGORITHM FOR THE SINGLE ITEM ECONOMIC LOT SIZING PROBLEM WITH ALL UNITS DISCOUNT AND RESALE
The purpose of this paper is to present a polynomial time algorithm which determines the lot sizes for purchase component in Material Requirement Planning (MRP) environments with deterministic time-phased demand with zero lead time. In this model, backlog is not permitted, the unit purchasing price is based on the all-units discount system and resale of the excess units is possible at the order...
متن کاملA reactive bone route algorithm for solving the traveling salesman problem
The traveling salesman problem (TSP) is a well-known optimization problem in graph theory, as well as in operations research that has nowadays received much attention because of its practical applications in industrial and service problems. In this problem, a salesman starts to move from an arbitrary place called depot and after visits all of the nodes, finally comes back to the depot. The obje...
متن کاملAn Efficient Extension of Network Simplex Algorithm
In this paper, an efficient extension of network simplex algorithm is presented. In static scheduling problem, where there is no change in situation, the challenge is that the large problems can be solved in a short time. In this paper, the Static Scheduling problem of Automated Guided Vehicles in container terminal is solved by Network Simplex Algorithm (NSA) and NSA+, which extended the stand...
متن کاملSolving a nurse rostering problem considering nurses preferences by graph theory approach
Nurse Rostering Problem (NRP) or the Nurse Scheduling Problem (NSP) is a complex scheduling problem that affects hospital personnel on a daily basis all over the world and is known to be NP-hard.The problem is to decide which members of a team of nurses should be on duty at any time, during a rostering period of, typically, one month. It is very important to efficiently utilize time and effort, ...
